Cristina Pineda and Ricardo Pineda created Covalín Covalín 20 years ago, a brand that emerged as part of a collaboration between the two Mexican designers and the Mexican National Institute of Anthropology and History. The value of the brand lies in the exaltation of the mythology of peoples and indigenous roots of Mexico.

Pineda Covalin´s main goal of taking Mexico´s name abroad, excellent translation of their inspirations on fabrics, their original concept and elegant designs has made me completely fall in love with the entire brand.

Alexia Ulibarri

Alexia Ulibarri is a designer based in Mexico City where she has been established since F/W 2009. By fusing her personal experiences, stories and work experience over time, art, technology, forms and all types of material, causing a process of experimentation she developed a customized and experimental process that has resulted in a concept and design formula in which she finds herself and her collections.

After studying fashion design and pattern cutting at London College of Fashion and Marangoni. Alexia returns to Mexico, in order to develop her own label ALEXIA ULIBARRI. She showcased her first collection FW09 “Dark Romance” in Mexico City. The essence of the brand lies in the delicate strength of women. Her style combines past and present and she experiments with materials, textures, cuts and prints to create a contemporary look for today’s women.

Each piece is unique and seeks to offer different personalities and body types a variety of options via special details that make them stand out pieces. Celebrities such as Alessandra Ambrossio & Heide Lindgreen among others have worn ALEXIA ULIBARRI designs. The brand is starting its internationalization process and RTW growth. The collections are made and produced in Mexico with the highest quality materials.

Alexia Ulibarri´s nostalgic, dramatic, romantic, elegant and so feminine design of every garment, has made her  part of GlemMx Top list of Fashion Designers.

Juan Carlos Obando

From Barranquilla, Colombia att the age of 19 he worked as a graphic designer in advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi.

“After several years I realized that what interested me most of the spots created was the clothing of the protagonists,” says the Colombian who lives in the United States.

In 2008 it was decided and launched the fashion design. His first passes were private and for a select clientele, among which the director of Vogue USA, Anna Wintour was. Backed by Wintour -a support that was confirmed when he was a finalist in the 10th anniversary of Vogue Fashion Fund prize awarded by the CFDA / Vogue-, Obando bet filled by his own signature, a label passing through the renewal of the codes American fashion.

The inspiration for their designs comes from those sensual women who walked steadily for his native Barranquilla, an influence is palpable in its use of the color palette. Comfort is another of the hallmarks of garments designed by the Colombian.

“People think sleepwear as very rigid. My designs are party but fluid, “He stated. “A look only works when approaching the personality of its owner.”

This is demonstrated by some of its most assiduous clients including actresses are Julia Roberts, Jessica Alba, Cate Blanchett & Anna Wintour.

One of my personal favorites mainly because of the delicate design of every garment.

 Sandra Weil

Sandra Weil Couture was founded in 2008 with a vision of creating beautiful handcrafted attire of the highest quality using materials with sumptuous textures and putting special attention on the details and fine finishes. Her fashion basics were taught by the women of her family, specially her grandmother from whom she inherited that sensibility that profoundly influence all of her designs.

For me it’s the flirtiest, girly & fun brand of Mexico that’s why is one of my favorites.

Vero Díaz

Veronica began designing dresses six years ago, although it was only four ago when he officially launched its brand VERO · DIAZ . Since then it has been a steady upward road to success for Vero. Her pieces have moved from her garage to her very own boutique, have been featured in various magazines throughout the country and she even won 3rd place in Elle Mexico’s design contest in 2012 (and will be back with a bang this year)

Since its inception , every garment is characterized by being made with custom fabrics worked by hand, drawing the attention of the demanding Yucatecan society .
